Rabbit Bonding Services - Helping rabbits build the foundation for a happier life together.

A Friendship Takes Time

Bonding rabbits is about more than putting two rabbits together and hoping they become friends. It takes patience, careful observation, an understanding of rabbit behaviour, and a willingness to work at each pair's pace.

At Reina’s Rabbits & Guinea Pig Hotel, our goal is to help rabbits develop a safe, positive relationship using a gradual, rabbit-focused approach. Every pair is different, and while some rabbits make progress quickly, others need more time and patience.

We do not use stress bonding techniques. Instead, we focus on allowing rabbits to become familiar with one another through a carefully managed process that prioritizes their safety and well-being.

How Our Bonding Service Works

1. Preparation at Home

Successful bonding starts before your rabbits arrive. Owners will be required to complete some preparatory reading and homework before their booking. This helps you understand rabbit body language, the bonding process, and what to expect when your rabbits return home.

2. An Individualized Approach

Every rabbit pair is different. We consider their personalities, history, behaviours, and progress when determining how to proceed. Introductions are managed carefully, with close observation and appropriate precautions.

3. Patience, Not Pressure

We do not force friendships or use stress bonding. Rabbits need the opportunity to become comfortable with one another without unnecessary pressure. Their progress determines the pace of the process.

4. Preparing for Home

Bonding does not end when your booking does. Owners need to be prepared to continue supporting the relationship at home, follow the recommendations provided, and understand how to manage their rabbits safely as they settle into their shared environment.

How Long Does Bonding Take?

Most bonding stays are approximately 14 days, although every pair is different. Two weeks provides a starting point for working toward a successful bond, but it is not a guarantee that rabbits will be fully bonded by the end of their stay.

Some pairs may need additional time, while others may require continued work at home. Our priority is making appropriate decisions based on the rabbits' behaviour and progress rather than rushing to meet a deadline.

Bonding Rates - $100 per day

Most stays are approximately 14 days, making the typical two-week stay $1,400.

The final length of stay depends on the rabbits' progress and individual needs. Additional days are charged at $100 per day.

Bonding requires time, careful supervision, and an individualized approach. Owners should be prepared for the possibility that their rabbits may need longer than two weeks.

Is Your Rabbit a Candidate for Bonding?

Before booking, owners should be prepared to:

  • Complete the required bonding homework before arrival.

  • Provide accurate information about both rabbits' health, personalities, history, and previous introductions.

  • Ensure both rabbits are appropriately assessed for health status and have been spayec/neutered for a minimum of 8 weeks.

  • Understand that bonding outcomes and timelines cannot be guaranteed.

  • Continue the recommended bonding and management practices at home after the stay.

If you are considering bonding your rabbits, please contact us before booking. We can discuss your rabbits' circumstances and determine whether our service may be suitable for your pair.
